Itinerary
DAY 1
DUBROVNIK – Enjoy the beautiful views in Croatia’s “heaven on earth” – according to the famous writer George Bernard Shaw. Dubrovnik’s Old Town is wonderfully captivating, with its 1,940m long 15th century stone walls built to protect the city from invasion. We highly recommend walking around the walls to grasp the diverse nature of this city. Walk along the Stradun, the promenade inside the old city walls and meander the alleyways to discover numerous local restaurants, shops and bars. The included Dubrovnik Walking Tour is a great way to learn about this wonderful city.
DAY 2
MLJET – Today we sail north-west to one of the most beautiful islands in Croatia, Mljet, which is actually a National Park. The island is classed as Croatia’s greenest due to it’s dense covering of Mediterranean pine forest. The National Park is famous for its two salt lakes in the north end of the island – Veliko and Malo Jezero – as well as the 12th century Benedictine monastery in the middle of Veliko. Those that wish to explore this pristine island can do so by kayaking, cycling or walking around to where the sea meets the lake. After exploring, spend your afternoon on the top deck of the ship watching a magical Mljet sunset with a cold drink in hand.
DAY 3
KORCULA – Relax as we set sail for the island of Korčula, and enjoy lunch onboard in the beautiful Lumbarda Bay. The town of Korčula, said to be the home of Marco Polo, was mostly built in the 15th century and features an impressive fish bone structure. The island’s local population were once famous for their decorative stone carving work, which to this day still adorn the city’s facades. Korčula is also known as a gastronomic destination with many great restaurants wrapped around the city walls overlooking the waterfront. We will overnight in Korčula Town and enjoy a traditional Croatian dinner in the village of Zrnovo, one of the oldest settlements on the island.
DAY 4
VIS – Early this morning and subject to weather conditions (which are normally excellent), we will make our way across to the island of Vis, one of the most outer-lying islands on the Dalmatian coast. Vis has been used over the centuries as a strategic military port and saw action by the Allied military through WWII against Italy and Germany. It has only recently opened to commercial tourism and the island still retains a lot of charm.
DAY 5
HVAR – Enjoy breakfast onboard overlooking the stunning Adriatic as we cruise towards Hvar island. Relax in the Croatian sunshine or take a dip in the refreshing Adriatic at our mid-morning swim stop before lunch is served onboard. After lunch, we continue on to Hvar, the ‘French Riviera’ of the Adriatic. Feel the part sipping champagne and docking alongside other super yachts in Hvar Town. Although renowned for its celebrity spotting, Hvar still remains authentic to its roots, with its cobbled streets, historic architecture and 7th Century Fortress overlooking the town.
DAY 6
BRAC – Enjoy a relaxing cruise this morning as we sailing towards to our final island destination – the island of Brac. Brac is the largest of the Dalmatian islands, and we will moor up in the waterside town of Milna. The island of Brac is famous for its native Mediterranean pine trees, relaxing atmosphere, and beautiful secluded bays. You’ll spend your afternoon swimming and relaxing in the stunning areas surrounding Milna, with the evening reserved for the onboard Captains Dinner!
DAY 7
SPLIT – Embrace your last morning cruising the Dalmatian coast as we make our way back to Split. Enjoy your final swim stop in a secluded bay just outside of Split, before taking in this spectacular city as we cruise into Split harbour in the afternoon. The UNESCO World Heritage city of Split bases the Old Town in and around the stunning Diocletian’s Palace; a Roman emperor’s’ retirement palace from 295-305 AD. Stroll through the palace basement filled with market stalls and experience the historical architecture of this beautiful palace, consisting of 220 buildings within its boundaries and being home to 3,000 people. Split is now the second largest city in Croatia and continues to grow every year with numerous, cafe bars and traditional Dalmatian restaurants opening.
DAY 8
SPLIT – This morning it’s time for an early onboard breakfast, before saying goodbye to the crew and all of your new friends.
